About Pookie Foster
I like to think of myself as a strategic thinker, adept at distilling complex subject matter into value propositions that resonate and ideas that sell. Throughout out my career as a communicator, I’ve enjoyed presenting financial offerings to a wide range of audiences, combining a logical argument with humanistic appeal.
Prior to Foster & Wood, my financial clients have included Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase, Charles Schwab, Credit Suisse Asset Management, E*TRADE and the world’s premier investment bank.
Thinking about thought leadership
As a professional writer, I’m intrigued by the ways companies help their customers, working with them to explain how they do it. I’ve specialized in creating thought leadership materials, such as white papers and executive communications, and have written for over 400 technology and financial companies in this capacity.
Earlier in my career, I was a vice president and global communications manager at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City, and an executive at several public relations firms in New York and San Francisco. I received a BA in Communications from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and while in college worked at a start-up software company with a lot of smart guys who still remain friends.
