Q1 2026 was a huge reversal in US stocks with regards to the segments of the market providing returns. US Large Cap Growth stocks (essentially large tech) was down -9.78% while US Small Cap Value stocks were up 4.96%. US Small Cap and Small Cap Value has lagged for many years. Long term, US Large Cap is beating US Small Cap 13.97% to 9.88% average per year over the last 10 years. The last 10 years is not the historical norm. Going back to 1927, Small Caps have outperformed Large Caps by a wide margin.
International Value Stocks also performed well, providing 2.50% for the quarter while International Growth Stocks lagged at -4.60% for the quarter.
